The Building Process
The Dumont team specializes in building their client's home their way. From the initial meeting to the final walk through, Mike and Christian work closely with all our clients to ensure that all their ideas and wishes are being incorporated into their home. We have a design center in our office where some of the selections for the home are chosen and then each client schedules appointments to decide on the finishing touches of the home with our vendors for appliances, plumbing fixtures, flooring, lighting, etc. Our vendors have been working with and servicing Dumont for many years and will provide great advice and experience for each one of our clients through the selection process.
During the construction process, we welcome the client to visit the site as often as they can so they can also be a part of the entire process. We schedule several on site meetings to discuss the electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structured wiring to make sure that items are being properly placed to accommodate furniture as well as our client's needs. Our sub-contractors have been performing our work for years and work well with all our clients to bring their vision to reality. Our standard mechanical system in all our homes consists of all energy efficient units - from the HVAC units to the hot water heaters - so that energy consumption is at a low and our clients save money.
At the completion of the home, we provide a detailed walk through to explain every part of the home so our clients feel comfortable that they know exactly what is in the home and how everything works. We also provide a detailed binder that contains all sub-contractors information, warranty procedures, selections, and manuals for items in the home. When we hand the keys to our client, we want to ensure they are comfortable with their new home and to provide our on-going assistance for the future.
